Kidsongs: A Day with the Animals is the sixth entry of Kidsongs Music Video Stories released in November 1986.

Plot[]

Dancing dolphins, mighty whales, singing chimpanzees, elegant elephants, wacky walruses, a regal rhinoceros and more animal friends costar with the Kidsongs Kids in this magical journey through the animal kingdom. You'll love the kids' talented dog, Bingo, be amazed by a real Bengal tiger and laugh at a llama on this delightful tape you'll want to watch over and over again.

Trivia[]

First Kidsongs music video with "Starring The Kidsongs Kids" in the opening credits. However, it was shown in manuscript which would be used until Kidsongs: A Day at Camp. It would first be shown in cursive during the opening credits of Kidsongs: Ride the Roller Coaster.
This is the first Kidsongs music video to feature Heather Green and Kristy Lynn Espinoza as leading Kidsongs kids. In the previous video, Heather was featured as a leading girl, but she was cast as a member of the Kidsongs band.
Despite being cast as a Kidsongs kid, Heather portrayed Little Bo Peep in the song of the same name.
This was the only video in which Kristy's full name was shown in the end credits. The next two videos that she appeared in (Kidsongs: What I Want to Be! and Kidsongs: Ride the Roller Coaster) credit her as "Kristy Espinoza" in the end credits.
This is the only Kidsongs music video to feature Coleman Saucier and Ryan Kirk as the leading Kidsongs kids despite the former cameo appearing in Kidsongs: Cars, Boats, Trains and Planes and Kidsongs: What I Want to Be!.
This is the first Kidsongs video to have a "The End" card after the end credits.

This video got recorded at Animal Actors of Hollywood in Thousand Oaks, California, Los Angeles Zoo and Birds of Paradise in Los Angeles, California and Marineland of the Pacific, is now known as Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California and was filmed in May 1986.
Two songs, "Why Don't You Write Me?" and "The Wanderer", don't feature any of the Kidsongs kids or adults.
